Singita: Place of Miracles
The Kruger National Park is the largest reserve in South Africa and forms part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, which stretches over 35 000 square kilometres and encompasses three countries – South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. This is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries whose vast expanse ensures the ultimate wildlife luxury safari experience as the animals are free to roam in a protected area which is slightly larger than the State of South Carolina.
Within this world famous sanctuary lie the Singita Private concessions of Singita Sweni and Singita Lebombo. Founded in 2001 these elite lodges have progressed the original Singita footprint to the next level in both luxury and tailored experiences. The private concession traverses over 33 000 acres on the eastern boundary of the Kruger National Park and has abundant wildlife and breath taking landscapes which is guaranteed to keep you entwined in its splendour during your stay.
World renowned
Although founded as just one lodge on a single track of land in the Sabi Sands in 1993, Singita has since grown into the world renowned conservation and luxury brand whose promise guarantees not only an incredible African luxury safari but also a promise to African conservation and the upliftment of the many local communities in and around the Singita lodges.
The history
The original Singita Ebony Lodge built on the owner, Luke Bailes, family owned land, has since grown into a collection of 12 unique lodges scattered majestically throughout 3 African countries. Each lodge’s subtle foot print nestled gently on only the finest and most fertile African land to ensure your perfect safari experience. Incredibly, Singita now boasts over 500 000 acres of pristine African wilderness under their protection.
The Singita African collection
Adjacent to the Singita Kruger Park Private concessions collection in the neighbouring Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve sit the original Singita footprint of Singita Ebony, Singita Boulders and Castleton Camp. Each lodge is unique in its experience, composition and feel but are complimented by the incredible game viewing in the private reserve they traverse.
Singita Grumeti Reserve sits in the western passageway of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and homes three superb lodges – Sasakwa Lodge, Faru Faru Lodge and Serengeti House – as well as two luxury tented camps – Sabora Tented Camp and Explore Mobile Tented Camp. These lodges and luxury tented camps offer exclusive game viewing in the private reserve perfectly located for the great wildebeest migration in the latter half of each year.
