The Day of Reconciliation

“Reconciliation means working together to correct the legacy of past injustice.” Nelson Mandela

Today is the Day of Reconciliation. A day that we as South African’s need to take heed of and be thankful for the nation that we are today. It came into effect in 1994 after the end of apartheid with the intention of fostering reconciliation, national unity and a democratic South Africa.

Happy Reconciliation Day to our fellow South Africans, may we all walk towards tomorrow together and remain today and always #proudlysouthafrican
