Clyde Thomas

Clyde loves Africa’s wild heart that lives within all its people no matter whether they still live in Africa or have left to live abroad. Sometimes it only takes one visit for someone to be captured by Africa’s spirit,” he says.

Love for the African bushveld: Clyde spent his first 5 years growing up at Londolozi where his father was a game ranger. He then moved to Johannesburg but spent all his holidays going to the bush in the Kruger Park, Sabi Sands, Thornybush & the Waterberg. He has worked on the Londolozi land management habitat squad building dams, fire brakes and roads throughout the reserve and is a qualified FGASA level 1 guide and trails ranger.
Today: Clyde lives in Cape Town but still returns to the Lowveld and Londolozi once a year. Clyde is an avid birder and tracker and would love to travel to East Africa to see the migration and get up close with Gorillas in Rwanda.
